About the Story

Mitchel Davis is a 12 year old boy from Riverview who has only one dream, to escape. He is trapped in more ways than one and has faced more than most face in a lifetime. Forced to grow up quickly with no family, love, or support, Mitchel is quickly becoming more mature and learning how to live in a nearly impossible environment. He is smart and is beginning to learn his way around. But he is very lonely. He knows his life could consist of this nothingness he faces. He has lost all hope to a normal life. This is when he meets Ashley. She is a unique “person”. Ashley has the strangest shade of red brown hair, and eyes so blue their almost white. She becomes good friends with Mitchel. Oh, and Ashley died in 1984. She is a ghost which is stuck in the “in-between”. Read on to see how this un-ordinary couple help each other in facing their biggest fears.
